Joachim D’Eugenio
Senior Expert on Zero Pollution in DG Environment of the European CommissionAs environmental engineer by training, Joachim D’Eugenio started working in the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) in Berlin. In 1999, he moved to the European Commission working on the water (Water Framework Directive), marine and water industry policies. In addition, he followed inter-institutional affairs in the Commission’s Secretariat General joined in 2015 the Unit on Compliance & Better Regulation of DG Environment where he was leading the Fitness Check on Environmental Reporting and led the agenda on “digitalisation and the environmentâ€. Since 16 January 2020, he is working as Senior Expert in the DG Environment Directorate coordinating the work on the “Zero Pollution Ambition†and contributing to many Green Deal and other initiatives.

Martina Desole
Director ENoLLMartina is currently the Director of ENoLL, the European Network of Living Labs where she promotes globally the Living Lab concept and methodology and the Network of our certified Members. She has been working in the field of science diplomacy and promotion of research and innovation, helping researchers and entrepreneurs to find a way to be funded by Europe for their ideas, and Europe to implement Cooperation policies in science and innovation with other Countries. She holds a master’s degree in international law and a Master in Global Environmental Policies. As project manager she coordinated and managed several international cooperation projects, focusing in the past years on Canada, India, South Africa and the US.
