DESCRIPTION

The EC Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” aims to launch 100 Living Labs and Lighthouses by 2030 to promote healthy soils. After one year of implementation, this session will review progress, assess challenges, and discuss future goals and policy expectations. The European Commission and the Mission Board members will present an overview of achievements. Representatives from NATIOONS will explain the 2024 funding opportunities while SOILL-Startup will share updates on strategies and lessons learned in supporting Soil Health Living Labs. A debate with ENoLL certified Living Labs, first Mission Soil Living Labs, and key speakers from urban and forestry background will explore synergies, organizational resilience, and community engagement. The discussion will advocate for integrating Living Labs into a cohesive network, aiming to expand these initiatives globally.
