DESCRIPTION
The workshop Tech Together is about actively engaging participants with different co-creation methods. These are human-centred design methods that put marginalised communities at the centre of their own challenge. Immerse yourself in the world of your target group and learn how to use co-creation methods to achieve real involvement. Create solutions that truly meet their needs and improve their position in society.
These methods have been collected during the European Horizon “CommuniCity” programme pilots, where technological solutions to social challenges were developed, and have been incorporated into a co-creation toolbox available on the ENoLL website.
Agenda
Using a real case study, you will discuss and explore what it means to be in a marginalised position and practise different co-creation methods.
This workshop includes:
- Perspectives on co-creation (20 min)
Find out essential ingredients of a co-creation process, explore effective methods for engaging marginalised communities in design processes and select an ideation method to be applied in the second part of the workshop.
- Applying co-creation methods (50 min)
Engage in role-playing simulations, experience different perspectives and learn to empathise with the position of marginalised groups. Get a grip on addressing and breaking power dynamics when co-creating with marginalised groups. Engage in the chosen ideation method to generate solutions for a real life case study.
- Taking time for reflection (20 min)
Reflect on what you have learned. Try to imagine how you can apply it in your work and what it can mean for the target group you are working with.
