DESCRIPTION
Members of the ENoLL Energy Working Group, as well as other partners will highlight the value for established business, start-up, and networks when strategies, actions, projects are taken in cities with the aim of the zero emissions (clean energy, etc.) and zero pollution (e.g. re-imagining products and services) supported by Living Labs. The Quadriple Helix specificity of Living Labs allows them to become a key intermediator, helping fitting types of actions and types of business.

KTT Manager and PI for the Sustainable Electrification task in the Sweet Lantern project putting Living labs at the forefront of the energy transition. IPCC Reviewer. Co-facilitator of the Swiss Social science & Humanities Energy Research Group (including https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14474405/). As a project manager, she coordinates diverse projects in such areas as energy & environment, health and education. Being a living lab methodology enthusiast, she has been successfully spreading living lab ideas, tools and methods locally in municipalities, hospitals, clinics and libraries. She strives to engage in social projects which change lives and contribute to improving our planet.

MANAGING DIRECTOR BAŞAKŞEHİR LIVING LABÖmer is currently the MD of Başakşehir Living Lab and has been running Başakşehir Innovation & Technology Center (Basaksehir Living-Lab) focused in development of innovative producsts and services as well as supporting enterprenuers and startupssince 2012. He is also the Project Coordinator of Başakşehir Municipality for H2020 and Horizon Europe projects. Ömer has also been a trainer in ENoLL Learning Lab sessions on various topics since 2020. Other than Başakşehir Living Lab, Ömer is an Angel Investor and as of February 2024 he is the Chairperson of the Angel Effect Pty Co which is an Angel Investment Fund based in İstanbul with 25 shareholders. He is an expert in Project Management and Organizational Development. Ömer has more than 30 years of corporate experience from Ford Motor Company, Ericsson and Turkcell Communications at various management roles in the areas of Organizational Development, Quality, IT, Strategy and Project Management. Ömer has a B.Sc in Production/Industrial Engineering from Aston University, UK and an MBA degree from Graduate School of Management, Melbourne University. Since 2020. Ömer is advisory board member of Bodrum Living Lab.

Coordinator of the Citizen Innovation Lab and leader of the Smart Buildings Living Lab (SMARTLAB) projectDr Madeleine Lyes is coordinator at the Citizen Innovation Lab, Limerick and engagement lead on the Smart Buildings Living Lab (SMARTLAB) project. She specialises in policy-oriented research and community engagement towards the climate transition. She works in stakeholder engagement, research and publication on the European energy transition, and the development of strategies for citizen involvement in energy communities in Ireland.  The Citizen Innovation Lab is a collaborative initiative between the University of Limerick and Limerick City and County Council, using a living lab approach to harness the insights of multiple partners and communities towards innovation. It fosters research relevant to LCCC’s climate action plan, leverages opportunities within the EU research funding landscape, and connects that research with citizen and community projects that drive climate action in Limerick.

Anastasia Ponomareva
Researcher & Project Manager Energy Living Lab, HES-SOAnastasia is a Researcher and Project Manager at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Western Switzerland (Energy Living Lab@HES-SO). She has an interdisciplinary profile in urban planning, architecture, and innovation products & services development. She holds a Master's degree in both Innovative Project Management and Strategic Urban Planning. Since 2016, she has been working in the fields of urban analysis & project management, applying participatory design and ensuring the involvement of different stakeholders in the process of city development. Anastasia also has experience and interest in the Smart City field, for instance, working with urban Digital Twins and launching inclusive services for citizens and other actors. In the Energy Living Lab team, she specialises in the Living Lab methodology, qualitative research, and the development of interactive tools, for instance, serious games for Energy and Climate transitions. She is currently involved in both national (Smart City for cities) and international (oPEN Lab, 2ISECAP, Multigination) projects focusing on sustainable territorial development, citizen participation, and urban proximity (15-minute city). Passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and social innovation, she focuses her efforts on the development and implementation of sustainable solutions and processes addressing climate and energy challenges to catalyse urban transition.

Evaluation Expert of the EC, Eoh-for-Good CEO, Associate Professor and Director of International Research Project Office at VIUWith over 25 years of international experience in fostering multi-actor, multi-sector and interdisciplinary collaborations, Toñi Caro is specialised in co-designing new generation of quadruple helix living labs and innovation ecosystems. As a pioneer in social innovation in Spain, Toñi excels in driving systemic change and translating R&I results into tangible development targets. She has a versatile profile that combines academic, entrepreneurship and expertise positions in different roles and capacities (e.g. evaluation expert for the European Commission (Horizon Europe, member of the Board of Directors of the European School of Social Innovation, member of the GaragErasmus Ethics, Disciplinary and Private Relations Committee, CEO of Eoh-for-good, founding Member of MAVERICKS Global, Associate Professor & Director of the International Research Project Office (VIU, ES). Toñi is also collaborator of the ENoLL’s Energy & Environment Working Group, focused on the transition toward a more sustainable society.
